Work continues at Rockingham Industrial Park

Work has begun on phase 2A of Harworth’s Gateway 36 industrial scheme near Barnsley. Caddick Construction have been awarded a contract by Eos inc., part of the Haworth Group. The contract will cover plots 1 – 3, together with external yards, car parking, associated highways and the relevant off-site drainage work.

Unit 1 consists of two 10,000 sq ft units, unit 2 49,500 sq ft and unit 3 38,500 sq ft. Phase 2 is to be developed over 51 acres either side of the A6195 Dearne Valley Parkway at Rockingham, near junction 36 of the M1.

Gateway 36 is situated on the site of the former Rockingham Colliery.

The current units of phase 2A are being built on a speculative basis by Caddick with an anticipated completion by the end of this year. Units five to eight will be offered at a later date on a design and build basis.

Excellent progress is reported with structural steelwork and cladding in progress on all three units.
