Westminster Project awarded to Henry Construction

The construction phase of the 40 Broadway Project in Westminster has been awarded to Henry Construction Projects as main contractor by Tellon Capital.

Demolition of the old building by demolition contractor Erith is nearly finished and Henry Construction are ready to move on site next month. The original buildings on the 40 Broadway site, which is situated opposite St James’s Park tube station, included a 1960s office building at 40/48 Broadway with a large car park, a 1920s warehouse-style building at 1/11 Cateret Street and also a 1980s office building at 13/15 Cateret Street.

Planning permission for the redevelopment with plans to construct an eight-storey office building which will include approximately 135,000 sqft of bespoke office accommodation was secured by Tellon in 2018. The project will also create a series of terraces at different levels which will have views of St James’s Park.

3D Reid Architects, Mosiac Consulting Engineers, IN2 MEP Consultant and Gardiner & Theobald cost consultant, make up the project teams.
