A contract to redevelop Wisbech Road in the Cambridgshire Market town of March has been awarded to United Living.
118 new homes for shared ownership and affordable rent are to be built by Partner Construction, subsidiary of United Living. The contract is awarded to United Living with Sage Housing the affordable housing provider for the site.
The local authority has secured £20m per year for 30 years central government funding for regeneration through the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Single Investment Fund. This development will be part of the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority’s and Fenland District Council’s regeneration plans for March to ensure provision of accessible housing, improvement of transport links and to redesigning public spaces.
Frank Lincoln, Partner Construction regional managing director said: “With the investment from the combined authority we aim to work to build future-proof family homes to benefit the local communty”.
