Two more office buildings in Angel Square, Manchester

Planning permission has been given for two more speculative office buildings in Manchester City’s Angel Square by Manchester City Council.

Designed by architects Cartwright Pickard the two buildings will give 440,000 sq ft of Grade A office space while setting a benchmark for sustainability, wellbeing and also flexible use of amenity spaces.

2 Angel Square will have 198,926 sq ft of offices 14 storeys high together with 17,200 sq ft of potential commercial space.

3 Angel Square will have 241,531 sq ft of offices, 13 storeys high and with 22,690 sq ft of commercial space.

The facade of the new buildings will be in keeping with the heritage buildings in the NOMA estate while using glazed angled terracotta panels which reflect different colours depending on the time of day.

It is expected that approximately 400 construction workers will be employed for the project which is expected to start as soon as Bowmer & Kirkland complete on 4 Angel Square.
