Construction of a new retirement complex in the centre of West Byfleet, Surrey is planned for September 2022 and is to be constructed by Higgins Partnership.
Retirement Villages Group (RVG) have appointed Higgins as main contractor for Botanical Place in West Byfleet, which is described as a flagship integrated retirement community.
Botanical Place is to be built on the site of the former Sheer House office block and shopping precinct, in the centre of the village of West Byfleet.
The project is for 196 apartments for people of retirement age to buy or rent to live independently, but will have amenity, community and support on site. A public square will also provide a central focus with surrounding shops, restaurant and a public library. PRP Architects have designed the project.
James Ahearne, RVG development director said: “This project is of significant importance as we set the standard for sustainable integrated retirement communities”.
