RAF Coningsby Project

A contract to build the new £11m SIngle Living Accommodation (SLA) facility at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire has been awarded to Galliford Try’s Buildings, East Midlands busines.

The project will be a four-storey building, which has been commissioned by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and will include 94 bed, five electric vehicle charging stations, together with expanded landscaping to the existing car park.

The new facility is designed to BIM Level 2 and aimed at achieving DREEAM Excellent, working towards a net zero carbon in operation rating, utilising Passivhaus principles.

This award is the third project for Galliford at RAF Coningsby base, including work already undertaken for No12 Squadron and the Typhoon Future Synthetic Training facility underway on behalf of BAE Systems.
