A contract to build 24 units at Hortonwood Industrial Park Telford has been awarded to contractor Morris Property. The project is expected to create around 5,858m facilities with completion planned for the summer of 2023.
The land was purchased from Homes England via the Telford Land Deal which is a partnership between Telford & Wrekin Council, Homes England and the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership.
The council will have responsibility for bringing forward ‘shovel ready’ sites for development for residential and employment uses. A gap was identified by the council for small industrial units that did not appear to be met by the private development market.
High quality space for businesses to occupy in Telford will be created and Morris Property construction manager Steve Flavell is excited to be able to incorporate green credentials, electric charging points and PV solar panels together with specialist tree planting and other ecological improvements.
