Work on a project to build student accommodation in the Abbeyhill area of Edinburgh has been started by Graham.
The contract for Glencairn Properties contains plans for a 149 bed development studios and cluster flats together with mult-use common area, laundry facilities, cycle storage, underground bin facilities, a gym and community room.
The design and build of the scheme will be managed by Graham’s with the design to reflect the original street landscape from the 1800’s on the corner plot on Montrose Terrace and West Norton Place.
The Planning Application for this build was approved in June 2020 by Edinburgh City Council and is planned for completion in the late summer of 2023.

He went on to say that Edinburgh’s iconic universities and colleges create a significant volume of investment within the city and it is imperative to have the correct level of accommodation to cover student intake and Montrose Terrace will help in doing this.

Will Rudd Davidson are the appointed consultant engineer and 56three Architects are the appointed architect.
