A 62,286 sqft parcel distribution centre for German courier firm DPD is to be built following the appointment of Caddick Construction as main contractor for the project.
The build programme, expected to take 10 months, will be started by mid-November as Caddick move on site in Carlisle Kingsmoor Park.
Planning permission for the new project at the K2 development was obtained by Kingmoor Park Properties last month. K2 will be designated for large occupiers looking for industrial and logistics space at Carlisle Kingmoor Park.
DPD already occupy a 42,195 sqft unit at Kingmoor Park but have signed a new lease on a larger design and build facility to accommodate their need for additional space. Their new distribution centre will hold 20 HGVs and 181 vans
