A contract to design and build a new hangar at Farnborough Airport has been given to McLaughlin & Harvey.
Work is planned to start in the coming weeks while ensuring the airport remains fully operational. The new hangar will be the largest infrastructure project at Farnborough Airport this century.
The project will see the construction of an additional large span portal building with high specification concrete floors, associated airport apron works and hangar doors. The architect for the Domus 111 project is to be Gebler Tooth.
SImon Geere, Airport chief executive said: “We want to be known as a global showcase for airport sustainability and the new hangar has of course been meticulously designed with this in mind”.
