The new chief executive of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation is civil engineer Mike Green.
Mr Green will replace Graham Dalton, former DIO chief executive, who retired last month. Moving from the Department of Education (DfE) Mr Green was chief operating office and director general of the operations directorate. He was previous to that a civil engineer in the private sector working for Boots, the pharmacy chain in facilities management and store construction.
The Defence Infrastructure Organisation is an agency of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) who look after infrastructure needs of the British Armed Forces.
“Mike brings a wealth of leadership, commercial, transformation and delivery experience to his new position together with strong customer focus needed to deliver service improvements” said David Williams MOD permanent secretary.
Mr Green said he has been observing from the sidelines for many years and hopes to get to know the organisation and to work closely with customers to ensure the needs of service personnel and their families are at the forefront of everything we do.
