287 mobile generators have been shipped to Ukraine to help maintain power for essential services including hospitals and shelters.
National tool and plant hire chain Speedy were appointed by the Department for Business Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to source and supply the generators which have been donated by the UK to Ukrainian authorities. Speedy sourced the generators from Italian manufacturer Pramac and arranged for units to be shipped from its bases in the UK, Italy, France, Spain and China.
The 287 units from Speedy represent a third of the UK governments total generator shipment to Ukraine since Russian troops invaded in February.
Speedy were contracted by BEIS via the Crown Commercial Service Framework for public sector procurement – all helping the government to provide quick and effective support for the people of Ukraine.
