Mace main contractor for Edge London Bridge Tower

Mace have been appointed main contractor for the construction of a 28-storey, 260,000 sqft office building on the site of Becket House and 60 St Thomas Street, London SE1.

The project has been designed by Pilbrow & Partners Architect to consume less than 23kWh/sqm to align with the RIBA Climate Challenge operational intensity targets for new build offices. BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum Certifications is the project teams target.

Edge London Bridge is considered as a flagship project for the city that will set a new bar for sustainability in London offices and Mace’s role as contractor is considered central in helping make the construction more efficient.

Funding for this project comes from Local Pensions Partnership Investments and the London Fund (a collaboration between Local Government Pension Scheme investment pools, LLPI and London CIV) together with Goldman Sachs.
