Lymedale Business Park in Newcastle-under-Lyme is to have a 330,000 sq ft logistics and warehouse unit. Funding for the project is from Aver Property, a joint venture between NFU Mutual and Ergo Real Estate. The design is by MHA Architects with Bowmer & Kirkland as the main contractor for developers Cole Waterhouse & Peveril Securities.
The project is believed to have an anticipated development value in the region of £34m and outline planning consent was initially agreed in July 2020 to speculatively develop the 15 acre light industrial building. The subsequent reserved matters application has now been approved by Newcastle-Under-Lyme Borough Council.
Land remediation works together with demolition of previous structures have now been completed and Bowmer & Kirkland have now erected a steel frame.
It is hoped for practical completion on the project by the end of 2022.
