Industrial redevelopment for Altrincham

Planning permission has been approved for an industrial development on the former site of trailer manufacturer Cartwright Group in Altrincham.

The Broadheath Network Centre will offer a collection of refurbished space together with new builds constituting a multi-led industrial site with 205,000 sq ft of accommodation across 25 units. Unit sizes will range from 2,100sq ft to 39,500sq ft.

Demolition began last month and Network Space plan to complete in early 2023. It is planned to re-use and recycle existing steel and concrete structures on the site.

Walker Sime is the project manager and quanitity surveyor with AEW architects and Spawforths as planning advisor.

Simon Eaton Network Space senior development manager said: “Planning permission is now secured and we can now begin the development of this well-located and popular site which will appeal to local businesses, trade occupiers and last mile urban logistics firms”.

“Strong interest in the scheme has already been received from a range of businesses and now that demolition is well underway it is planned to have units ready for occupation in early 2023.
