Ilke Homes purchase 11 acre site in Kent

An 11-acre site in Staplehurst, Kent has been purchased by volumetric house-builder Ilke Homes for a development consisting of factory-built homes.

Ilke Homes plan to put up 94 units, a mixture of two, three and four bedroom homes, subject of course to planning permission being granted.

A planning application hase been submitted to Maidstone Borough Council, which has been validated. If approved it is hoped that the first of the factory-built homes will be delivered from the factory in Yorkshire to mid-Kent by the winter of 2023.

Ilke Homes have plans to run to more than 1,000 homes over five sites in the southeast of England, including one currently being developed with Octopus Energy, in Essex, where residents are promised free heating and electricity. Plan are for the Staplehurst homes to be powered by solar panels and air source heat pumps aiming at keeping bills down.
