Framework agreement announced by Sellafield

The winners of a mechanical and pipework framework agreement has been announced by Sellafield Ltd.

The framework which is estimated to be worth between £112m and £237m over the 18 year life of the programme has been awarded to Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick and Doosan Babcock.

Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick is now on all three of the frameworks put in place by Sellafield’s Programme & Project Partners (PPP).

The range of work for this project will include piping fabrication and installations, which includes installation of mechanical equipment for PPP’s collection of projects.

PPP consists of KBR (previously Kellogs Brown & Root), Jacobs, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure and Dooson Babcock, together with Sellafield Ltd.

Peter Hogg, Head of Supply, said: “Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick and Doosan Babcock will, I am sure, bring changes, new ideas and value to our projects.

They will be working with SMEs within these frameworks in order to ensure successful project delivery together with increased social impact and economic benefits for our local communities.
