Cotswold Roller Hire, who supply specialist compaction equipment to contractors throughout England and Wales have been purchased by the Blackpool based Fox Group. This not only extends Fox’s product portfolio but also the area covered.
Cotsold Roller Hire (CRH) has eight depots in Evesham, Andover, Bridgend, Essex, County Durham, Plymouth, Sheffield and Wigan. Founded in 1965 Cotswold Roller Hire turned over in 2020 £10m with a pre-tax profit of £1.7m.
Paul Fox, Fox Group chief executive said: “We will with the addition of CRH add a large number of plant items and specialist transport to our substantial fleet of plant, tippers and bulk haulage. Fox Group will be able to cover large areas of the UK with this acquisition”.
Fox Group was previously known as Fox Brothers before taking over Clive Hurt (Plant Hire) Limited based in Leyland, JJ O’Grady based near Preston and Blackledge Plant Hire also in Preston”.
Foc Group now covers 18 locations with its fleet of 270 wagons and 1,800 items of plant and machinery.
