Fairham access road

O’Brien Contractors are to shorly begin work for the Fairham neighbourhood development in Nottingham, part of £100m of infrastructure improvements planned for Fairham.

The first part of the development will be to improve the existing access road and create a new route into the development site, south of Clifton.

Plans are for the 606 acre site to become a new neighbourhood for Nottingham with 3,000 new homes together with a million sq ft of employment space.

Clowes Developments in partnership with Homes England have been working with Highways England, Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottingham City Council and Rushcliffe Borough Council to ensure the access works realize the maximum benefit with the least amount of local disruption.

The project is about creating new access for Fairham that will link to the whole of the development in the future. This will allow continuation of the building of the new internal road network to service new homes, jobs, amenities and leisure facilities.

The work is taking place off the Mill Hill roundabout and on the Clifton South tram terminus access road from the A453 Remembrance Way.

Completion of the access road is planned for April 2023.
