A scheme which is hoped will encourage women into construction site management is planned by nine leading housing developers who are working with the Home Builders Federation and the Women into Construction Company group.
The employment programme aims to attract women into site management positions by providing childcare support and also to cover training costs.
The housing developers showing an interest in the scheme are:- Barratt Developments, Bellway Homes, Cala Homes, The Hill Group, Keepmoat, Persimmon Homes, Redrow, St Modwen and Vistry Group.
All applicants interested in the scheme will receive a week of online insight and development sessions which will include health & safety training. This would then be continued with a two week work placement with support and coaching from Women into Construction.
