Following a contract to build new garages and workshops for the British Army’s vehicle and equipment fleet at MOD Ashchurch Skanska have begun work demolishing the first building.
The project involves the demolitionof 58 buildings and the construction of 12 new ones. All infrastructure will be renewed and one building will be refurbished.
Construction of the new infrastructure is due to start in February 2023 with completion planned for 2027.
Skanska UK say they are delighted to be starting work on this project and to transform the site into a facility that will protect the British army’s vehicle fleet.
