Contract for Steel-framed Bathroom Pods

A contract to supply 425 steel-framed bathroom pods has been awarded to bathroom pod specialist Offsite Solutions for a Wilmot Dixon build-to-rent-scheme in Peterborough.

The Northminster project which has been developed by Cross Keys Homes is for 315 flats. The bathroom pods which have been designed by Corstorphine & Wright will be built with a light gauge steel frame, brick slip cladding and bathroom pods. The bathrooms and shower rooms are to be tiled and finished at Offsite Solutions’ factory which is situated in Highbridge, Somerset, and then delivered to the site in Peterborough.

Bathroom pods are designed to reduce carbon by enhancing material use and reducing waste, labour on site and vehicle movement. It is considered to be a simplified, safer and more sturdy process to move this part of the build offsite.
