Contract for Apartment Block in Leigh, Lancashire

A contract to build an apartment block in Leigh, Lancashire has been awarded to Caddick Construction.

Appointed as main contractor by Wigan Borough Council Caddick Construction are to build a four-storey apartment block consisting of 40 flats at the development at the Railway Arches on Chapel Street in Leigh. The site is situated close to the town centre and due to its former use has many infrastructure challenges. It is within the conservation area which is known for well detailed architecture.

The project will see 36 one-bedroomed and four two-bedroomed homes which will have on site car and cycle parking bays, also included will be electric vehicle charging points for the residents.

The development has been designed by AFZ Architects and is planned for completion in the spring of 2024. Caddicks design and build contract will include superstructure works, service infrastructure together with roads, drainage and landscaping.
