An old print works is to be converted into a construction training centre after GMI Group were appointed by University College Birmingham.
The training centre is to be built on what was the old James Cond print works building on Birminghams Jewellry Quarter. The property has been empty for almost 30 years.
Ready to welcome construction students next year the building is to be turned into a skills centre for University College Birmingham. Students already at the college will be given the opportunity to get involved with the conversion project giving them the chance to help build their own learning resource.
GMI are to start building works in October 2022 with plans for competion by September 2023 in time for the start of the new academic year.
