Construction of Forensics Centre in Bicester

Willmott Dixon have been chosen as the preferred contractor for the construcion of a forensics centre in Bicester.

Planning permission has been approved by Cherwell District Council subject to the completion of a Section 106 agreement. The new forensic centre will be built on land owned by police situated near Avonbury Business Park, Howes Lane.

The project is the result of a review of forensic services by Thames Valley Police where the need to increase capacity whilst modernising facilities has been recognised. Bicester will therefore become the main forensics centre for Thames Valley Police and will consist of laboratories, digital technologies and also training facilities.

Construction by Willmott Dixon is expected to start during the summer of 2023 with completion planned for early in 2025. Atkins are the approved multi-disciplinary design consultants.
