Developer Stanhope and the Woolgate Exchange Unit Trust (WEUT) have appointed Mace to be the main contractor for a building refurbishment in the City of London.
Architect Stiff & Trevillion have designed the remodelling of the nine story Woolgate Exchange, situated on Basinghall Street.
The project will include the installing of a new 1,500 sqft rooftop pavillion. The building, now called Woolgate, will ultimately consist of more than 20,000 sqft of external terracing with outside spaces shown on most of the upper levels. A new entrance to the building will also be created on Coleman Street.
Stuctural engineer for this project is Heyne Tillet Steel, Exigere is cost consultant and Third London Wall project manager. Mace are hoping to begin work on site during the first quarter of this year.
