Work on two blocks of flats, part of the Soyo Leeds regeneration scheme has been started by Caddick construction.
Soyo is being developed by Caddick group and being promoted as part of a new cultural quarter for Leeds.
Funding was secured by Caddick last year from US Investment manager Federated Hermes for two adjoining blocks comprising of 331 flats for the private rented sector. The buildings are to be operated by Federated Hermes build-to-rent brand Hestia.
Designed by DLG Architects, the blocks are to be delivered alongside new public realm including green spaces and a public square.
Myles Hartley, Caddick Developments managing director said: “In an endeavour to improve the physical built environment this development will deliver new homes and commercial spaces along with new landscaped areas”.
Matt Chillingworth, Federated Hermes manager went on to say that “Having established Hestia’s presence in Manchester, Liverpool and London we look forward to bringing the brand to Leeds”.
