Build-to-rent Development in Bolton town centre

A £35m build-to-rent development at Placefirst’s Bolton Central Street will consist of 167 homes for private rent with a mixture of apartments and town houses. The development will also have a network of walkways, a central square and courtyards along with ground floor units for retail and commercial use.

Caddick Construction have already broken ground on the development as Placefirst work with Levitt Bernstein architect and CW Studio landscape architect designing the project to transform the 1.1 hectare brownfield site into a new neighbourhood. The Central Street development is part of Bolton Council’s £1bn masterplan to revive the town centre.

Caddick Construction have been appointed main contractor for the first phase of works only at this stage. Consulting engineer Alan Johnston Partnership, quantity surveyor Walker Sime, project manager Mackie Project Consultants and Hoare Lea evaluation consultants have all supported the design process of the development.

Without the intervention of Bolton Council this area would have remained an unused brownfield site.
