Aston Villa Stadium Redevelopment

Planning permission for phase one of Aston Villa Football Club’s redevelopment and expansion plans has been granted by Birmingham City Council.

The first phase of the redevelopment is to include a new North Stand connecting to the existing Trinity Stand and will increase the stadium capacity to more than 50,000.

Plans also include the formation of Villa Live, which will be a 6,500 sqm commercial development and replace the existing shop, academy building and security lodge.

Approximately 7,000 sqm of new public realm will be created surrounding the stadium’s Witton Lane entrance thereby improving accessibility and safety for match goers. Many fans are currently on a waiting list for season tickets so these plans will be welcome news for them.
