Travis Perkins Builders Merchant Group reports to have more than 1250 apprentices among its 20,000+ UK workforce and has set a target of training 10,000 apprentices during the next seven years.
The company recently held an inaugural apprenticeship graduation ceremony where 382 apprentices celebrated completion of their courses. 40% of those apprentices were women which showed an increase from 32% last year.
The Travis Perkins group includes BSS, CCF, Keyline as well as more than 700 Tool Station stores and 500 + Branches of Travis Perkins and they plan to target 10,000 apprentices by 2030 across the group.
Apprenticeships are central to ensure the industry acquires all the skills needed to deliver on net zero, retrofitting buildings while creating a built environment that we can all appreciate.
