A 78 acre site has been secured by Yorkshire house builder Avant Homes with the intention of development in the village of Edenthorpe.
Avant Homes hopes to build approximately 600 homes in Edenthorpe, subject of course to the relevant planning permission from Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council.
Jeff Fairburn is chairman of the company’s board and Avant Homes is controlled by him. This is the fourth purchase for Avant Homes in Doncaster since the beginning of 2020. The Edenthorpe site is situated just off the A630 near Mere Lane and only four miles north of Doncaster town centre.
Alistair Hart, Avant Homes Yorkshire managing director said: “Forming part of our long term strategy to expand our presence in prime locations across the region this site is considered to be a significant acquisition. Supporting the high demand for much needed properties this development will provide a large number of fine new homes”.
